Job description

This is a great chance to join an “outstanding” rated nursery setting, near to Hackney as a Nursery Practitioner.

Close to overground train stations and local bus routes, this is a light and roomy nursery with two gardens. The nursery has great links to the community with many of staff living on the doorstep. There are lots of activities for the children to get fully engaged in both indoors and out, including language lessons, cooking, singing and crafts, growing fruit and veg and more!

Responsibilities: 

• Support the nursery providing a safe, happy, environment for individual children for them to meet their full potential
• To work in partnership with parents and carer givers, providing feedback and on their child’s progress
• To note and maintain documents and records as required
• Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

• Hold a relevant and recognised level 3 childcare certification or above
• Have recent experience of working with children
• Excellent verbal communication skills, with colleagues, parents, carers and children
• Able to work as part of a collaborative team
