We are seeking an experienced Community Manager to join our team in our UniLodge Canterbury property. You will be responsible for facilitating the coordination of the residence as a community, to ensure resident wellbeing and the delivery of the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program.
ABOUT THE ROLE - Full Time position
- Roster: 40hrs per week across Tuesday to Saturday 2.00pm – 10.30pm
- Development, implementation and management of the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program
- Delivery of the Community Spirit Program of events.
- Creation of a diverse and holistic calendar of events, balancing core areas of support and resident interest
- Provide exceptional service and build positive relationships with residents and all key stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of a positive/supportive culture within UniLodge, building its appeal in the market place for future and present residents
- Development of the strategic direction relating to all aspects of residential life
- Manage, develop, and implement events and activities as per the elements of the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program
- Assist with the arrival, orientation and departure process
- Build a high performing Community Spirit Leadership team
- Be an active member of the emergency response team during shift times and after hours
ABOUT YOU - Previous experience in a similar capacity with a focus on leadership and wellbeing in a University/youth environment
- Evidence of tertiary studies that have provided the experience to fully understand the complexities of University life
- Demonstrated experience in event management, including budgets, planning and implementation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to research and develop evidence based programs and policies
- Police Vetting (required)
