Our client is looking for a Senior Subcontracts Specialist for a 6 month contract position, located in Aberdeen (Hybrid Working)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Roles and responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Providing first tier supervision, support and guidance to Subcontracts Specialists and Graduates including peer review of internal and external contract documentation
- Advising project and tender teams on sourcing and procurement strategies
- Developing comprehensive RFQ/ITT documents
- Undertaking commercial/contractual evaluations
- Negotiating, drafting and executing contractual agreements
- Ensuring compliance with internal subcontracting policies, processes and procedures
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and promoting cross department engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with current and potential Suppliers
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree qualification in Law, Business or Quantity Surveying
- Relevant experience gained in a subsea/oil and gas contract/subcontract environment
- Experience of Supplier Performance Management, LOGIC contracting principles and ERP Systems
- Effective team player, with strong mentoring skills and the ability to support and develop the team
- Ability to confidently negotiate contractual/commercial terms
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with good command of English language
