Job description
Northland Properties operates a portfolio of brands globally, this role is based in Newcastle, UK supporting the current UK portfolio of brands in Newcastle, London Gatwick, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Sheffield and Portmarnock, near Dublin - with further expansion planned into the future. The construction and opening of Sandman Signature Edinburgh Hotel is coming soon.
You'll be based in our Newcastle Head Office and report into our Group Marketing Manager UK&I and will support the business specifically in producing and planning engaging e-mail campaigns, reporting, updating and managing portmarnock.com and growing our first-party databases. You will work alongside a Marketing Executive who is responsible for print, updating and managing sandmansignture.co.uk, and all social media channels.
You will work across our brands in the UK&I; including Sandman Signature Hotels, Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Links, CHOP Grill & Bar and SHARK Club.
Digital Marketing Executive
- Manage portmarnock.com using WordPress
- Product engaging e -mail marketing campaigns across all brands
- Develop and deliver campaigns to grow our databases in compliance with GDPR
- Improve the quality, testing, frequency and personalisation of our marketing e-mails to ultimately improve customer engagement and revenue
- Work with our Head Office team in Canada to optimise our automated e-mails sent to hotel guests post and pre-arrival
- Work with our Revenue team to track and measure the performance of marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with colleagues to understand their requirements and their departmental objectives
- Be a brand custodian across all brands; ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to always
- Digital administrative tasks like formatting data in excel and data uploads
- Other duties as required that fit within the level of this position
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2-4 years in a marketing or similar position
- Methods that allow you to manage and prioritise competing requests on your time
- A good general understanding across the marketing mix; specifically, CRM, E-mail & Digital Marketing
- Good data analysis and reporting skills
- A good understanding of CRM principles and practices
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry; specifically, hotels, bars & restaurants
- Have a commercial outlook in everything that you do
