Job description
The Trauma and Orthopaedic service at MTW is expanding with the opening of the new Kent and Medway Orthopaedic Centre, a state-of-the-art unit for patients undergoing elective orthopaedic surgery. We are looking for a Band 4 Therapy Assistant to join our friendly and supportive Orthopaedic Occupational Therapy Team and be part of this exciting development.
You will be supported by experienced senior staff and will have the opportunity to develop both clinically and professionally, working with junior staff and students.
This post will offer opportunities for flexible working across 7 days with the possibility of hybrid working from home to deliver Occupational Therapy pre-assessment clinics and on site working to review patients post-operatively prior to discharge home.
You will require:
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to complete manual handling tasks
• Ability to assist with self-care and activities of daily living
• Basic computer skills
