Job description
The CSR Group are currently recruiting on behalf of a Specialist Roofing and Cladding Contractor who operate throughout the UK from their base in Cavan.
Due to a number of new projects won, they are seeking to employ Project Manager to cover the Northern Ireland and Scotland. This role will include travel to projects Tuesday to Thursday and a flexible working option on Monday and Friday.
As the role progresses the successful candidate would be able to adjust their travel schedule accordingly.
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of each project to a high quality, within the required timescales and to budget.
Key responsibilities
· Responsibility for the management of a good client relationship throughout the project
· Have overall responsibility for the project
· Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to on site at all times
· Review the project progress in accordance with the programme and provide progress reports to management
· Ensure awareness of cost control and commercials throughout the project
· Resolve issues or concerns in a timely and efficient manner
· Coach and direct project staff in relation to contractual and regulatory requirements
· Management and development of the site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
· Liaise with the client to ensure expectations are being met throughout the project
· Ensure the highest quality is maintained throughout the project
· Communicate with the commercial and operational team to advise of progress and changes
· To perform the role in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures
· Adopt a Continuous Improvement approach to processes and practices
· Contribute towards an overall company culture of sharing information and knowledge where there is a focus on solving issues as a team within a ‘can-do’ attitude and removing barriers to success
· To perform any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time.
Essential Criteria
· Recent relevant significant experience in a fast-paced busy environment demonstrating your ability to meet the demands of this role
· Previous experience of working in Roofing/Cladding (Desirable)
· Experience of delivering multiple projects
· Have extensive knowledge of construction practices that can be used to analyse the design and propose potential cost saving measures
· Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation for the construction industry
· Excellent IT skills especially Microsoft Office
· Strong management skills and commercial awareness
· Experience in leading, managing and motivating teams to achieve targets
· Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) to build relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment
· A proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations and duties
· Continually seeking ways to improve, adapt and innovate while meeting compliance and commercial requirements
· Experience of producing timely reports for Senior Management level
· Hold a CSR card or equivalent and hold relevant certificates
