Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

Academics are seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive learning community to support a child on a 1:1 basis at a school local to Worksop, Nottinghamshire. This post is a temporary post, term-time only and is due to commence from Monday 19th February 2024.

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

✨ Working closely with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) ✨ Providing one-on-one support to students with SEND ✨ Assisting in the development and adaptation of learning materials ✨ Supporting students in building social and emotional skills ✨ Collaborating with other professionals, including therapists and specialists ✨ Monitoring and recording student progress.

Qualifications and Skills: To excel in this role, you should have:

- Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or Supporting Teaching and Learning

- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with students with SEND

- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of students

- Adaptability and flexibility in responding to the diverse needs of learners

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
