(Part time 24 hours per week) £30 - £35kpa

(£44,000 – £51,000 FTE)

based in Thame, Oxfordshire

This is a great opportunity to join Thame and District Housing Association (TDHA).

We are looking to appoint an experienced Estates Manager (part time) to ensure the delivery of a high quality responsive and planned maintenance service and the effective management and control of planned and cyclical works across the association’s properties.   

TDHA is a small housing association providing sheltered housing for independent older people.  We have four schemes in Thame, Oxfordshire and one in Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire, with a total of 101 sheltered rental properties and 14 leasehold flats.

As our Estates manager you will have responsibility for managing a small team and will be comfortable conducting property inspections, specifying, procuring and managing contractors and ensuring all works are completed to budget.  Additionally, you will lead on operational Health & Safety in relation to the property function, including (but not limited to), gas servicing and safety, fire safety and legionella, and ensuring the Association’s Health & Safety policy is implemented.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Relevant experience and knowledge of housing maintenance and property management, gained from a housing association, local authority, or industry.
• Knowledge of statutory regulations regarding Health & Safety and Property Management.
• The ability to engage positively with our tenants and the staff team.
• The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to managing day-to-day operational issues.
• A commitment to delivering the highest levels of customer service, maintaining good quality safe homes, and delivering value for money for our tenants.

This role is part-time, 24 hours per week, ideally working over four days (including a Monday and Thursday), with some flexibility for the right candidate.
