Job Description
- Ultimate ownership of all processes and controls that deliver monthly, bi-annual, and annual consolidated financial reporting for the division.
- Leads all aspects of the business audit cycle, including external audit planning, clearance preparation, statutory accounts approval, and internal audit planning and control failure remediation.
- Manages the Global financial controlling team ensuring the division has adequate financial controls in place that are sufficient to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial reporting, existence of assets, standing financial data, valuation, rights and obligations and data presentation.
- Ensuring financial controls across all markets meet the standards to ensure ethical, financial and deliver on the five-year divisional strategy.
- Responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of financial policies and processes for the division, to be compliant with the Group financial policies and controls.
- Collaboration with the Senior Finance leaders of Sales and Aftermarket, Customer Operations and Innovation and Portfolio.
- Drive continued deployment of the Finance Shared Service including standardisation of process and implementation of key IT enablers.
- Ensure that the division is fully prepared to implement and successfully adopt IFRS standard changes.
- Supports the Commercial, Customer Operations, R&D, Portfolio and Global FP&A on monthly consolidated data, financial planning process for all quarterly, annual, and strategic financial plans, including delivery of divisional board materials as required.
- Monitors performance, providing insightful analysis around key drivers of results developing appropriate KPI reporting as required in particular as it relates to working capital metrics and delivering cash performance.
- Provide oversight and strategic direction to support global initiatives including but not limited to Treasury, Property, and Insurance.
The Successful Applicant
You will be a qualified accountant with a minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience with a strong focus on controls, governance, and technical accounting preferably in a large multi-currency business. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with a high-performing team in a multi-site, multicultural international business. You
will have led large multi cultural teams and have the ability to manage and deliver on global finance shared services agenda.
Managerial experience, leadership and being capable of collaborating & coordinating efforts of global employees at all levels is essential. Project management and business transformation skills would also be desirable as would ERP experience in SAP and/or QAD and Microsoft Power BI.
Demonstrated ability to persistently pursue and achieve results. You will have the ability to make good judgements in an increasingly complex global business by effectively sourcing and analysing critical information and making effective, timely decisions; considering the needs and impacts on business stakeholders.
You will be an initiative-taker with flexibility and willingness to balance multiple, changing priorities and work under tight deadlines and be able to demonstrate influence and build strong trusted working relationships across the business.
