Job Title: Employment Skills Trainer
Job Type: Temporary - possibility for temporary to permanent.
Location: Wolverhampton
Industry: Education
Hours: 37 hours a week
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To deliver employability training programmes signpost learners to relevant provision, including next steps
- To deliver and assess qualifications (accredited and non-accredited) in line with college IQA and awarding body requirements
- To ensure delivery plans map student's learning to accredited qualification specifications in line with programme aims
- To use appropriate resources to support training and assessment including delivery plans
- To attend review meetings for students and advocate for student progress and achievement
- To ensure learners' attendance is recorded promptly and accurately
- To be responsible for learners' on-programme experience and outcomes
- To record learners' progress on College systems
- To support the initial review of student programme suitability and to initially assess their academic levels
Skills & experience
- Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service
- A UK recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent is essential
- Maths and English GCSE
- Experience delivering training programmes to re-engage learners currently not in employment or education/training.
- Experience of assessing relevant programmes including caseloads.
- Evidence of good classroom practice and excellent teaching, including the use of different learning styles.
- Evidence of teaching, which demonstrates good progress and achievement of pupils across the ability range.
- Ability to work as a team member and to form good working relationships with
- Good communication, organisational and administrative skills.
