Job description
Title: Commercial Vehicle Fitter/Repairer
Location: Blackburn, Blackburn with Darwen
Salary/Rate: £15-£18 per hour (dependent on experience)
About the Role: We are searching for a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Vehicle Fitter/Repairer to join our client's team in Blackburn. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a variety of vehicles, including those constructed with steel, aluminium, timber, and fiberglass.
Responsibilities: - Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical and bodywork issues on commercial vehicles
- Perform metal fabrication tasks, including welding, cutting, and shaping metal components
- Repair accident damage to vehicles, ensuring the restoration of structural integrity and functionality
- Efficiently strip, refit, and repair interior and exterior panels and trims
- Refurbish vehicle interiors to a high standard
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a commercial vehicle fitter/repairer, with a strong understanding of mechanical and bodywork principles
- Experience working with various materials, including steel, aluminum, timber, and fiberglass
- Excellent practical skills, including the ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- A strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid driving license is preferred

Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Work Location:
- In person, Blackburn (relocation before starting work is required)
