Deputy Team Leader – EL/PL
£30,000
Liverpool (Hybrid)

Our client is seeking a Deputy Team Leader to play a pivotal role in achieving team targets and operational excellence in the realm of complex casualty claims. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the team, manage junior members, and ensure the delivery of top-notch service and client compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle a challenging caseload of approximately 150 complex Employer's Liability, Public Liability, Product, and Property damage claims.
• Review and allocate new claims, strategically setting initial reserves.
• Approve payments within established financial authority levels.
• Conduct peer reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
• Refer files to litigation when necessary, record reasons, and represent the team in feedback meetings.
• Undertake reviews for team members to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Maintain accurate claims management system records.
• Foster team motivation and engagement.
• Contribute to client review meetings and assist with client queries.
• Support Team Leader in ensuring compliance with client protocols, SLAs, and KPIs.
Working Environment:
• 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.
• Hybrid role: 1 day in the office, 4 days working remotely.
• Primary location: Liverpool Office.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
• Highly developed knowledge of processes, systems, and procedures.
• Sound technical knowledge of Employer's Liability/ Public Liability claims.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of 'best practice' and a passion for contributing to its development.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing client requirements and utilize interpersonal skills for influence and negotiation.
• Experience in managing performance and providing constructive feedback.
• Commercial awareness in understanding the market and industry.
• Enthusiasm for the business and role.
• Understanding of business development strategies and a willingness to support.
