Salary: Up to £95 per day
Hours: Full-time
Contract Type: Fixed term - Whole Academic Year, Potential for permanent contract

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Complex Needs?

 
GSL Education are currently looking for an SEN TA for ASD and complex needs for Year 5 Students in one of our client primary schools in Tower Hamlets, starting from September. The wellbeing of the students is very important to the school, and they have a professional pastoral team who ensure that every child has the help they require.

 
They are a fully inclusive school that will launch a dedicated provision in September 2023 to improve the offer for children with unique learning needs. The school understands the responsibilities placed on working parents and provides inexpensive wraparound daycare.

 
SEN Teaching Assistant Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant for Year 5 students with ASD and Complex Needs, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Your dedication and passion will help pupils overcome challenges and reach their full potential academically and socially. Working closely with the class teacher and the SEN Coordinator, you will tailor individual learning plans and provide one-to-one support to ensure that every child receives the attention they deserve.

 
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

 
SEN TA Requirements:
  • To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
  • Previous experience working with children with ASD and Complex Needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach to supporting children's development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications in education or special needs support are advantageous.
  • Local to Tower Hamlets
