A Day in the Life of a Recruitment Consultant at Cast UK:
As a recruitment consultant at Cast UK, your day is shaped by our focus on specialist areas such as Transport, procurement, manufacturing, buying, supply chain, logistics, sales, and HR.
Your day often starts by reviewing industry updates and candidate/client communications. Your interactions with clients are critical, involving discussions on recruitment needs and business development to foster new client relationships.
Business development is so important when it comes to building a successful recruitment career. You will research and identify new business opportunities, and then develop strategies to pursue them with the support of the wider team.
Winning new business doesn’t mean you stop there. Client relationship management is vital! You’ll build long-lasting relationships with your clients and be their go-to person when it comes to all things recruitment. Think of yourself as an extension of their HR/Talent function.
Candidate sourcing is a significant part of the role, leveraging our extensive network and expertise in our specialist areas to identify the right candidates. This includes conducting screening calls, and interviews as well as preparing candidates for interviews.
Administrative duties, such as updating candidate and client databases and generating performance reports, are also key components of your daily activities.
Given our focus on continuous improvement and development, you are also given the opportunity to engage in professional development activities.
The day often concludes with planning for the next day and collaborating with the wider teams.
This role is dynamic, requiring adaptability, deep industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills, qualities that we nurture and value in our team members.

If you’ve worked in sales, business development, or account management, you likely have the skills required to be awesome in this role. You might also be in a recruitment role but fancy a change of scenery.
