Job Description

7 Digital Labs is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director to lead our technical initiatives in developing an exciting game on Unreal Engine 5. As a Technical Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical vision of our projects, ensuring the successful implementation of cutting-edge technologies, and meticulously planning and tracking tasks across all technical departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the technical development team, providing expertise in Unreal Engine 5 and game development technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and solutions for the project.
• Drive the implementation of high-quality, scalable, and efficient code.
• Oversee the integration of Epic Online Service for multiplayer features, including matchmaking, lobbies, and leaderboards.
• Provide technical guidance on graphics, rendering, and optimization for Unreal Engine 5.
• Devise comprehensive project plans, ensuring detailed tracking of tasks across all technical departments, and implement effective task management and workflow processes to optimize productivity and meet project milestones.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the technical capabilities of our projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Director in the gaming industry.
• Expertise in Unreal Engine 5 and a strong understanding of its rendering and graphics capabilities.
• Experience with the integration and utilization of EOS Playfab or AWS for multiplayer features.
• Proficiency in C++ and other relevant programming languages.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and tracking tasks across technical departments.
• Availability for part-time engagement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in spoken Italian
