Job description
Are you passionate about construction equipment and thrive on delivering top-notch service? SMT GB, a leading distributor of Volvo construction equipment, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Horsham team supporting our valued clients across South Essex and North East London.
If you have a Level 3 qualification in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering, or HGV Mechanics, along with experience working on plant equipment, we want to hear from you!
Working within a well-established and knowledgeable team, you will learn all you need to know about Volvo Construction Machinery as part of your induction, and ongoing training and development. Visiting customer sites, you will carry out both planned and reactive service, maintenance, and repair work on the full range of Volvo plant machinery including our diggers, dumpers, loaders, and excavators.

Requirements:
• Level 3 NVQ in Plant Maintenance Agricultural or HGV Mechanics
• Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant,
• Have technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics, and electronics.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Can work to a high standard of competence, independently.
• Hold a Full UK driving licence.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
