Devon Air Ambulance are seeking to recruit a Head of Training to join our experienced Flight Operations Team.

Salary: £97,500 per annum
Increments awarded for HEMS experience based on service up to a maximum of £10,000 per annum.
Additional night shift allowance of £100 per shift.
Additional payments for second type and CRMT as below.

*Accommodation cannot currently be provided by DAATCL at the Exeter Airbase. You are therefore required to reside within a
distance of 45 minutes from the Exeter Airbase or be able to establish and pay for your own temporary accommodation within 45
minutes from the Exeter Airbase for each of your shift runs from this airbase.

The Role

We have a new vacancy for a Head of Training to join our Flight Operations team at DAA. The Head of Training will ensure all
aspects of pilot training and checking are conducted on time, efficiently and in accordance with the training plan. You will also
manage the organise, plan and conduct HTCM training. Our line pilots engage with day and night operations within an approved FTL
shift pattern.

The Head of Training will ideally engage with day and night operations within an approved FTL shift pattern, working as a single
pilot operation.

The post holder will contribute to the development of corporate strategy as well as contributing to and taking responsibility for
implementing departmental plans, especially where they relate to training, whilst inspiring, motivating and developing a team of
highly skilled professionals.

The Candidate

We are seeking a candidate who is an experienced TRE on H145 and/or EC135. Both type ratings would be preferred but we are open to
consider candidates who hold one type rating. You will have experience within HEMS or similar, and hold a UK CAA APTL (H)/CPL (H).
The ideal candidate will have a total of 2000+ flying hours, and a minimum of 1000 hours flying PIC and 150 hours night with NVIS
experience. They will have a level of experience acceptable to the Civil Aviation Authority to enable them to hold the Form 4,
Nominated Person, post for Crew Training. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable experience of leading
the team when on duty.

The Package

Salary of £97,500 per annum, with the potential for additional payments for 2nd type and CRMT.
Increments awarded for HEMS experience based on service up to a maximum of £10,000 per annum.
Plus an additional night shift allowance of £100 per shift.
