Job description
I am currently recruiting a Workshop Engineer for a permanent opportunity for a well-established client based in Milton Keynes.
A new opportunity has become available with my client based in Milton Keynes, to be considered for the role you will be educated to a relevant engineering discipline in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar. Level 3 BTEC, Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent.
You will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, and the customisation on machinery in line with the customers bespoke needs.
Role:
- Working to set checklists
- Log work on the in-house ERP system, including spare parts used and any changes in equipment
- Assessment, identification, modification and performance of preventive maintenance, scheduled maintenance, modifications, or failures / breakdowns on production and packaging machines / lines, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical
- Prepare machinery ready for client delivery
- Building control panels
- Design small scale electrical and pneumatic systems
- Change or retrofitting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic machine parts
- Stripping down existing machining and carry out relevant repairs
Experience:
- Awareness of COSHH
- Keeping machinery information up to date
- Program drives with pre manufacturing software and settings
- Worked on various electrical systems
- Be positive and reactive
- Experience in a similar role previously
What you need:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good knowledge of health & safety
- Level 3 BTEC, Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Graduate in Engineering or Manufacturing
- Background in Engineering and Manufacturing
- Project Management
- Experience with Control systems and/or programming software
Monday to Friday
08.00am- 17.30pm or 09.00am- 18.00pm with one hour break- Flexible on start time Salary £30,000-35,000
