Sustainability Communications Coordinator is expected to work 8 hours/wk, Monday-Friday, throughout the Academic year.
Position Description
Position Summary
The Communications Coordinator assists with the creation of marketing and promotional materials to educate and inform Messiah’s community about sustainability programs, events, and initiatives.
Major Preferred
Experience Required
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Track record of positive social media presence
Strong writing abilities
Experience with website content management preferred
Experience working with diverse groups
Public speaking experience a plus

Primary Duties
1. Assist with maintenance and improvements to Sustainability website pages, keeping information on website current and accurate
2. Creation of Marketing Materials utilizing web platforms, Canva, Photoshop, and/or other design tools to create advertisements for formal office messaging 3. Communicate with other team members to ensure that event postings are accurate and posted in a timely manner (keeping online calendar up-to-date)4. Manage the Office’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn 5. Outreach to partners on or off campus to advertise the Office’s events, programs, and initiatives 6. Monitor and track engagement of website and social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram). Set benchmarks for performance and keep track of key performance indicators 7. Create and maintain printed communication in the office newsletter and annual report. Also in Messiah’s Pulse, Swinging Bridge and the Bridge or other online writing platforms. 8.
