Location – Midlands (Field Based)

Salary – £35-45K base plus uncapped commission scheme

We are seeking a Microscopy Sales Account Manager for applied microscopes in the Midlands region to join one of the UK’s leading microscope specialists representing a diverse range of cutting-edge brands. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in boosting the company’s presence and sales in the materials science market (industry, academia, and materials science research).

What we're looking for...

Experience selling scientific capital equipment:

-Candidates should have a track record of sales experience, preferably in the context of scientific capital goods.

-Familiarity with the industrial sector is highly desirable, as it helps in understanding the specific needs and challenges of customers in this industry.

Knowledge of Microscopes

-Candidates should possess practical knowledge and skills related to optical microscopes or related equipment. This could include:

-Understanding how optical microscopes work.

-Familiarity with various types of optical microscopy techniques

-Knowledge of materials analysis techniques, which might involve using optical metrology for measurements.

-The ability to explain and demonstrate the use of such equipment to potential customers.

Materials Science Background (Materials analysis)

-A background in materials science will be highly beneficial. This knowledge is likely necessary to understand the products being sold and to communicate effectively with customers in the field.

In addition to these specific requirements, soft skills and attributes such as excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach and problem-solving abilities are highly desirable to be successful in the role. Moreover, the ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in materials science and microscopy technology is crucial for success in this field.
