Your new role
As a Senior Civil Engineer, your role encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities that includes:

• You’ll be in charge of assembling and managing small teams of engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and smooth project execution.
• You will contribute to studies and design work within your specific area of focus. This involves providing specialised insights and solutions.
• You’ll create efficient procedures for study and design processes, to achieve high-quality and cost-effective results.
• You’ll actively participate in reviewing project deliverables, collaborating with professionals from various disciplines to ensure comprehensive assessments.
• Rigorous quality control is essential. You’ll meticulously review design calculations and drawings to maintain excellence in project outcomes.
• Crafting precise technical specifications is part of your role. These specifications guide the implementation of engineering solutions.
• You’ll work within the engineering budget and adhere to project schedules, ensuring timely completion and financial efficiency.
• Sharing your experience, you’ll mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and expertise.

What you\'ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for Senior Civil Engineer role should have a degree in Civil Engineering and 4-5 years of relevant experience.

Must be proficient in Highways and Drainage Infrastructure. Understanding these systems ensures effective design and implementation. Prior experience using Civil3D, a popular civil engineering software, is advantageous. It aids in drafting, designing, and analysing civil engineering projects.
The candidate should work with local authorities, developers, and architects on various projects. Managing timelines, budgets, and resources is crucial for project success. You must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of legislation, hazards, and safe systems of work is essential.
Having the ability to communicate new concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is vital. Clear communication ensures project alignment. You need to ensure that you stay updated with industry advancement that enhances competence and expertise.
