Job Role: Finance System Accountant
Location: Remote with monthly visits to the London office
Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday
As a Finance System Accountant, you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager. The Finance System Accountant responsible for maintaining and developing the finance systems to ensure effective and efficient processing of data, integration of acquisitions and ensuring the systems meet stakeholder needs whilst optimising user experience.
This role reports to the Head of Finance Systems
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver stakeholder centric systems solutions, automation of routine tasks, designing reports for all stakeholders, defining end-to-end processes that will lead to a value stream delivering against defined business outcomes.
- Pro-actively contribute to the continuous improvement of technology/business processes through identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.
- Assist in the release of upgrades and enhancements to Workday
- Assist in the administration, maintenance and development of Workday.
- Assist in designing and implementing internal system controls (preventative and detective) to providequality assurance over financial data.
- Assist in migrating acquisitions from legacy accountancy package/ERPs to Workday.
- Assist in the roll out of Workday P2P and Financials.
- Preparing data loads into Workday using EIBs.
- Investigating and resolving user Workday issues.
- Mapping and understanding the business information needs.
- Scoping and gathering user requirements, running workshops and configuring systems to user requirements.
- Enabling high quality data migration by cleansing and managing data to ensure successful integration of related data across all digital products.
- Devising training solutions for all users, providing go-live and post go-live support where required.
- Maintain and develop relationships with external partners.
- Develop excellent working relationships with all departments within the business.
- Be flexible to carry out any other reasonable task as requested within the office environment.
Skills and Experience
- Qualified/Qualified by experience accountant with commercial acumen.
- Strong knowledge of working with Workday ERP system and end-to-end financial processes and solutions.
- Experience of designing and delivering customer-centric solutions.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong customer focus with excellent organisation skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Team player and able to lead by example
