Job description

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are seeking a Management Accountant for a flourishing and flexible SME based near Bridgend.

The Management Accountant will be the primary support for the Financial Controller and work with the wider Finance team to ensure financial reporting accuracy and the operation of an effective internal control environment.

To play a critical role in the monthly close process and annual accounts by piloting the team and contributing to the account's preparation and delivery of valuable reporting to support the group's ambitions.

A senior member of the finance team, responsible for the smooth operation and improvement of the financial processes of team and wider business.

• Support the FC in the closure of month end accounts in an accurate and timely fashion
• Supporting the preparation of the annual budget and in year forecasts
• Working with budget owners to understand variances and related drivers
• Ensuring that financial policies are adhered to within the finance team and wider business
• Support the FC in the completion of the year-end accounts and annual statutory audits for the Group
• Preparation and submission of the groups VAT returns
• Lead the team in the best use and adoption of our ERP and other financial systems
• Assisting members from other teams with finance related queries
• Additional duties as assigned from time to time
• Manage direct reports as the team grows and restructures

Salary of up to £50,000 - with a really flexible approach to work - hybrid working with potentially only a few days on site on offer.
