Job Description
- Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, and equipment
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment
- Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit diagrams and schematics
- Repair and replace defective components in motors, generators, controllers, storage batteries, switchboards, conductors, switches and varied electrical fixtures including DC systems.
- Install, maintain and repair electrical, electromechanical and electronic parts of machinery and equipment
- Perform repair and preventive maintenance on plant and shop electrical systems and equipment
- Install improvements and major upgrades to electrical plant and equipment
Qualifications
- Time served electrician
- 17th / 18th Edition
- Extensive knowledge of fault finding
- Extensive experience of working on DC systems
- Working at Height training
- Use of MEWP training
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
