We're looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who is looking to take their career to the next level! With the goal to support the launch of new products and processes, acting as an NPD representative within production this role requires a proactive individual.
Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities:
- Support the Production Manager with production system improvements, continuous improvement activity and lean culture development
- Develop existing and new manufacturing equipment, processes, and methods in line with business' objectives
- Comply with and fulfil Manufacturing engineering requirements throughout the NPD process
- Lead process optimisation activity to achieve manufacturing cost reductions and quality improvements
- Analyse process performance and development improvement projects using the DMAIC approach
- Assist in process-writing tasks, using interlocked and error-proofing process control systems
Requirements for the Senior Manufacturing Engineer:
- Relevant (IMechE) or (IET) qualification / Apprenticeship or equivalent vocational training
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as Automotive/Aerospace OEM or First Tier Supplier or equivalent industries as a Manufacturing engineer
- Experience of working within a team to meet set deliverables within manufacturing/production
- Practical working knowledge of Robotics and Automation including operational programming
- Ability to evaluate, develop and improve existing Production processes
- High level of personal accountability and a strong bias for action
