Building Safety and Design Coordinator
Southampton

Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading UK façade consultancy practice that offers a complete end-to-end service for high-rise and mid-rise façade remediation schemes, building safety management, site inspections, specialist façade reports, and grant funding.
Their in-house disciplines include building surveyors, quantity surveyors, clerk of works, fire engineers, and site teams, working closely together within the chartered consultancy.
The company has experienced significant growth within this sector and are now seeking a skilled Building Safety and Design Coordinator to join the team.
This is an exciting new role and they are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Coordinator to assist with Design and Building Safety management. The ideal candidate will have experience in the building industry and knowledge of digital collaboration software, along with proficiency in using MS Office.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting their Common Data environment for project design information (Asite), processing building safety cases and analysis reporting, coordinating project information between internal teams and external customers, and assisting the design coordination manager in the continuous improvement of systems and processes across the company.
Additionally, you will work closely with external project delivery teams, collating façade and fire-related building information as part of the golden thread.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a consulting environment within the building and construction sector. Ideally you will have an understanding of the JCT Design and Build (with contractors design) standard forms of contract, and the wider Design and Build procurement route.
Qualifications
The company is open to a broad range of experience and training and will consider formal qualifications from the following institutions or equivalents.
RICS, CIOB, CABE, RIBA, CIAT, IFE, IOSH, NEBOSH, IstructE.
