Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £33,500 – £50,300 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

We have a fantastic opportunity for as Assurance Data Engineer to support Group Risk and Audit team by leveraging cutting edge Azure services to drive Assurance activities forward. We’re seeking a skilled Assurance Data Engineer to champion the development and implementation of technical solutions. Your expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Data bricks, coupled with proficiency in generating insightful data visualizations using PowerBI, will be instrumental in enhancing our Assurance processes.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
– Participating in the design, build and roll out of new technical solutions to support the Group Risk and Audit function and other lines of defence that will allow interrogation of data and provide insights to the Audit team and wider business function using Azure SQL, ADF and Databricks.
– Developing analytics and visualisation reports to support ongoing internal audit projects.
– Providing commentary on analysis results to facilitate discussions between audit team and the business.
– Developing reporting dashboards to facilitate reporting to the Board, Committees etc. by bringing valuable insights.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
– Strong experience of working with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Databricks and PowerBI.
– Strong work experience gained in business process analytics, or from similar role within internal audit or external audit consultancy.
– A good understanding of risks and controls frameworks within a complex organisation.
– Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
– Accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
