Pay: £40k - £45k

Assistant Tax Manager - Exeter

We are looking for an Assistant Tax Manager for our clients firm based in Exeter. You will be trusted with your own client compliance allocation, working with tax managers across a busy tax team.

Part of your time will be spent with more junior members of the team, guiding them through areas of personal tax and processes. Many of those clients will also be the clients of the financial planning arm and the excellent client service you provide will help to support and nurture that relationship. You will be encouraged to assist with advisory work, firstly with those queries as they arise on your clients and moving to working on advisory reports. This role will be varied and is away from the norm of a tax team within an accountancy practise. Support towards study will be provided, if needed/desired. 

Essential Criteria 

· ATT Qualified and be maintaining your CPD

· Studying towards a higher professional qualification such as CTA (preferred) or STEP

· Competent in managing your own portfolio of clients with limited support from senior managers

· Be competent in using legislation or resources to support a technical approach taken

· CCH experience (preferable)

· Excellent Microsoft word and excel skills

· Keen to work within a large supportive team 

· Excellent analytical and time management skills with attention to detail
