Job: Field Service Technician Location: East Anglia Salary: £30-£40k Overall :
Our client is keen to strengthen they're after sales team in securing a new Service Technician. The successful candidate will be dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction by proficiently repairing machines in the field, or directly at the customer's location. This role involves the meticulous removal, installation, repair, disassembly, assembly, and failure analysis of a wide array of equipment components, encompassing engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, power trains, brakes, steering, electronic and computer applications, as well as heating and air conditioning (HVAC).
Primary Responsibilities: - Diagnose and rectify issues with customer machinery.
- Investigate and resolve problems related to machine systems.
- Perform thorough machinery inspections.
- Execute machinery set-up and adjustments.
- Employ a laptop to record labour, complete service reports, and submit warranty reports.
- Consult service manuals and parts books for specifications and parts information during repairs.
- Uphold company values, practices, policies, and procedures consistently.
- Ensure adherence to safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
- Provide coverage for the supervisor when necessary.
- Train new employees and student interns as required.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Your Qualifications: - Preferred educational background with a degree.
- 2-5 years of industry experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment is advantageous.
- Previous experience in troubleshooting methods is a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Desirable background in farming or agriculture.
- Willingness to travel within the region and work with limited supervision.
- Proficient in operating large machinery.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a verifiable safe driving history.
- Computer literacy.
- Capability to effectively present and explain product details to customers.
- Ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety rules, regulations, and policies.
- Capacity to lift up to 35 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally.
