Job description

Are you a compassionate and skilled veterinarian seeking a new opportunity? Look no further! We are an established independent small animal practice, serving the community since 1976. With one of our experienced vets transitioning into a teaching role, we are seeking a dedicated small animal vet to join our exceptional team.

At our practice, we have a dynamic clinical team consisting of 8 vets (5 small animal, 2 equine, and 1 mixed), 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), and 6 student nurses. Together, we provide a supportive environment that fosters professional growth and encourages you to pursue your interests. Whether you are an experienced vet looking to enhance your skills or a new graduate embarking on your veterinary career, we have a proven track record of developing confident and skilled veterinary surgeons over the past four decades.

Key Details about the Role:
-Four-day workweek
-We provide our own out-of-hours service with a 1:4 weekend rotation
-Saturdays are on a 1:5 basis (9 am - 4 pm) with a three-day week following a Saturday worked
-Varied working hours: 9 am - 5 pm, 9 am - 7 pm, 11 am - 7 pm
-We are actively seeking an additional vet, which will further improve our rota
-Part-time positions are welcome - let us know your requirements
-Wednesday lunchtimes are an opportunity to relax, chat, and participate in Continued Professional Development (CPD)
-We highly encourage career development and offer full support to help you fulfill your professional aspirations
-Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 for a new graduate up to £70,000 depending on experience
-Five weeks of holiday plus bank holidays
-Flexible CPD budget with support for certificates
-Our clinic is well-equipped with modern facilities, including digital x-ray and dental x-ray, endoscopes, ultrasound, and Idexx blood and urine machines

-RCVS registration and VDS paid
