Activities will include but will not be limited to:
Year 1: Project Management Office:
Years 2 - 4: Project Delivery:
As a minimum, by the end of the 4 year training period, the apprentice will have achieved a APM PMQ, BSc / BA, and a Level 6 apprenticeship.
On successful completion, apprentices are eligible to become full members of Association for Project Management (APM), the Chartered Body for the Project Profession.
There will be additional, business relevant, short courses that the apprentice will be expected to undertake.
The apprentices will spend 1 day per week attending college virtually, during term time. The apprentice will have the opportunity to visit college 2-3 times throughout the academic year.
The college will be Blackpool & The Fylde College.
Apprentices may be able to progress into the position of Designer (EC&I).
The Science Council for Registered Scientist (RSci). Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and upon receipt of the apprenticeship certificate, individuals are eligible to apply for RSci through a shortened application route. Individuals also need to be a member of a professional body that is licensed by the Science Council to be awarded this status. Further information is on the Science Council’s website.
On completion of the apprenticeship, the nuclear scientist and nuclear engineer will be eligible to apply for professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) through an appropriate Professional Engineering Institution regulated by the Engineering Council.
