The Treloar Trust provides education, care, therapy, nursing and independence training to around 170 children and young people with physical disabilities from all over the UK. Our aim is to prepare these young people for adult life, giving them the confidence and skills to achieve their full potential.
We are looking to appoint an experienced nurse as practice development nurse to support and deliver clinical training. Working closely with the Clinical Educator, you will be part of a busy but supportive team who love making a real difference to the lives of our students.
You will be a clinically competent nurse. You must have a love of teaching and sharing knowledge. This stimulating role is approx. 90% clinical education (face to face teaching, preparation for training delivery, competency assessment and practice checking) and 10% service development. You will be a committed, professional role model, with good organisational skills and a positive, proactive attitude. This is a mostly term time role, but there is a need to be flexible with shifts at times.
We use hi fidelity mannequins, provide comprehensive training, and have electronic systems for care notes and medicine administration. We have access to NHS training providers, and a generous training budget for professional development. We are rated Outstanding by Ofsted and CQC.
What we can offer you:
We love rewarding our team for their hard work and success, so we offer a generous benefit scheme to reflect this:
