Mechanical Calibration Engineer – Derby – Permanent – GPW Ref: E109145

Mechanical Calibration Engineer / Dimensional Calibration Technician is required immediately for a permanent position in the Derby area. The Senior Calibration Engineer will have recent experience of working in a calibration lab / standards room calibrating dimensional / mechanical instruments preferably to UKAS standards (signatory status desirable) Competitive salary (DoE) + excellent benefits, working approx. 39 hours (Mon – Fri days) – possible flexi-time, + occasional O/T.

The client will also consider Standard Room Inspectors with extensive dimensional / mechanical calibration experience and the client may also consider mechanical quality inspectors or apprentice trained mechanical engineers / technicians who have experience of using standard measuring equipment and carrying out in-house calibrations.

Primary Purpose of Job: Joining the team as a Dimensional Calibration Engineer, you will undertake instrumentation calibration inspections, measurements properly to the correct procedures, instructions and specifications. Maintain relevant records of work, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner utilising calibration management software programs.
