Geography Teacher – QTS - Leicestershire
My client secondary academy, based in South Leicester, are actively recruiting a teacher of geography to join them from August in the new academic year. This is a full time and permanent position working in a school where teachers and staff are their most valued asset. The academy has access to a wealth of support provided by a team of outstanding practitioners ensuring that teaching staff are given every opportunity to flourish and develop during their time in school. The academy is looking for a dynamic teacher of Geography with a genuine passion for the subject to teach their students up to GCSE/A Level. The successful applicant will need to be up to date in terms of subject knowledge and pedagogical techniques as well as ensuring that the department functions effectively as a team. The humanities faculty places great emphasis on high quality teaching and learning and encourages participation in the continued review of their curriculum and assessment. This secondary academy prides itself on excellent student behaviour and a strong ethos of inclusion with ambition for all; They really do put students at the centre of everything they do, be that teaching or pastoral care. The school is close to the leafy town of Market Harborough, south of Leicester which has seen considerable growth lately. The school is expanding and planning the building of an additional facility for children with Special Educational needs soon.
