Chemical Process Engineer

Job description
CK Group are recruiting for a Chemical Process Engineer to join a chemical manufacturing company at their site in Chesterfield. The first 12-months will be primarily based at the company’s head office in Chesterfield with occasional travel to existing customer sites and equipment vendor factories.
The Role:
- Performing sizing calculations and/or operational experience of Heat Transfer equipment
- Involvement in projects or plants with powder handling equipment
- Mapping a processand constructing process flow diagrams
- Developing P&ID’s and layout sketches
- Writing scopes of work for equipment vendors and plant installation contractors.
- Has interfaced with control systems by defining interlock schedules and specifyingthe logic for sequence operations.
Your Background:
- Degree qualified Chemical Engineer.
- At least 5-years of experience in a projects role or working within the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Experience of applying mass & energy balances in industry or in process design roles.
- Proficient in pressure drop calculations and selecting pumps or fans.
