Job description

Ref: 1645, Full-time live-out Nanny, Marylebone, W1

Details of children: 1 child, a boy born October 2023

Salary: Dependent on experience £60-£65k gross per year

Start: ASAP, latest mid-March 2024

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 7:30 pm (Friday until 6:30 pm)

Household: Full-time working parents (father French, mother German – both work in Finance and mostly in the office/abroad); no pets; no allergies; housekeeping/cleaning done 2x/week by a lovely young lady

Duties:

Sole care of the baby while the parents are at work, including setting and executing routines, feeding/cooking, dressing/laundry, changing, engaging in activities, setting and managing relevant appointments and development classes, play dates, and doctor visits, executing daily bath/nighttime if parents are still at work
Occasional (paid) overnight support/proxy parenting when parents are on work trips (expected to be <5 nights/month on average)
Occasional (paid) overtime/babysitting to support parents in executing their professional duties (so flexibility is required)
Travel to support parents on work/private trips and holiday travel (max. 50 travel days p.a., likely much less than this; max. 2 weeks in a row)

Experience/Core Skills:

5+ years childcare experience, some of which with newborns; able to independently set plans for and execute routines, transition to solids, potty training
Skilled and interested in young child development; keeping up to speed on new research
Fluent in English, second language skill (German or French) will be a plus but is not required
Other Skills/Personality/Profile:

Loving, caring, kind; while also able to set boundaries
High-energy, active/sporty, healthy – matching the energy of our kid and loving activities/playing outdoors
Great levels of organisation/structure/problem-solving; independent and confident around babies
Switched on and thoughtful/smart approach to managing daily duties, always challenging the status quo to work smarter
Proactive and strong can-do attitude
Understands the demand of high-intensity jobs of parents and displays appropriate flexibility
Strong communication skills (listens and able to effectively/efficiently connect with parents); Able to use technology to support communication
Positive mindset and fun to have around/spend time with
Driving/car: Preferable, but not required; no vehicle is provided
