Senior Practitioner

I'm looking for an experienced children's social worker to join Staffordshire County Council in the Children with Disabilities Service. The team covers Cannock & Lichfield and is a well established offering for young people with a variety of different disabilities. You will be joining an established team consisting of 7 Social Workers, 2 Family Practitioners and 2 Business Support Officers.

Key Responsibilities

• Statutory home visits

• School visits

• Completing/updating assessments

• Attending MDTs

• Chairing Meetings

• Working with children under CP, CIN and Children in Care

• Multi-agency working with partner agencies

• Multi-disciplinary working with other professionals

• Presenting to Resource Panel

• Updating children's plans

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or equivalent qualification
• Registered with Social Work England
• Experience working with vulnerable children
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Full enhanced DBS
