Salaried GP with potential partnership opportunity – Oak Tree Surgery and Pensilva Health Centre

Hours: We would welcome applications for 4 to 8 sessions per week
Salary: starting salary of £11,600 per session per annum

Summary

We are a large successful training practice across two dispensing sites with a practice owned on site Pharmacy and an award-winning research team.

We are passionate about a high standard of health and wellbeing for our staff and our patients. We are looking for someone who will share this vision and thrive with us.

We would like to appoint a salaried GP (with the option of partnership) to replace a retiring partner to join our large multidisciplinary practice.

We would welcome applications for 4 to 8 sessions per week with a starting salary of £11,600 per session per annum.

Some of the benefits of working in our GP team include:
8 weeks annual leave per year plus bank holidays
Regular half day practice closures for staff training, team building and wellbeing activities
Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme
Free on-site parking
Company sick pay
Regular social events including annual company funded Christmas party
Numerous charity fundraising events throughout the year
Lunch break staff walking group
Monthly team meetings for shared learning

Our large clinical team is supported by a dynamic, well-structured management and administrative team to allow smooth and efficient running of the practice. This also enables us to seize opportunities to innovate and further improve our patient care and the wellbeing of our staff.

We introduced telephone consulting over 8 years ago. We have continually improved our system to achieve good patient access and satisfaction; whilst still allowing the GPs to remain in control of their workload and their day.

We have worked hard to reduce the level of administrative work for our GPs through our skilled Medical Secretary team processing tasks, E-Consults and medical reports; Medicines Optimisation team dealing with medication queries and reconciliation; clinical support to help reduce pathology processing and an Administrative Support team to assist with QOF, systems, coding and data.

We encourage all our staff to take opportunities to develop other interests to enhance their day-to-day general practice. We would encourage any new GPs to develop other skills that would contribute to the practice or work with us on any of the following:

Training GP registrars, F2 doctors, medical students, pharmacists, and nurses.
Working with our dedicated research team.
Supporting the dispensaries and practice owned on-site pharmacy.
Women’s health clinics
Substance misuse clinics
Specialist Dermatology clinics
Minor operations and joint injections
Green Impact for Health Bronze Award, working towards the silver award.
GP appraisals
Universal Personalised Care
Veteran Friendly Accreditation
