Operations Manager
Salary: £35,000-£45,000
Benefits: 28 days holiday, pension, Westfield health
Hours: 9.30/10am – 5.00pm with Saturday mornings on a rota (flexibility on working hours tbn)
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Working within a Family Company to support growth & maintain company USP’s.
- Interested and driven to offer the very best to clients who appreciate and expect high quality, service and attention to detail.
- Be responsible for overseeing operations and driving operational improvements to include inbound web-based marketing strategy and managing the office whilst supporting the Managing Director who will be leading the sales.
- Customer communication, managing and directing service and installation support through existing team.
- Working sympathetically with our in-house team to ensure focus is maintained and sales objectives are met.
- Develop and Implement Strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Knowledge and experience of of various costing strategies would be a benefit.
- Ensure that all reactive, quoted and servicing works are planned, scheduled and delivered efficiently, compliantly and on time.
- Implement operational improvements to increase customer satisfaction, achieve financial targets.
- Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements and deadlines while optimising cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols. Champion a culture of safety within the business.
Essential Experience
- Previous management and planning experience in a similar service environment
- Ability to build and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
- Commercially experienced and competent
- Excellent, Effective & Realistic time management
- Exhibiting a ‘Driven’ nature that understands the value of “pace”
- Interested in learning new skills whilst sharing their own skills & successful strategies with our team,
- Acute analytical, planning and organisational skills
- Proactive, flexible, motivated, enthusiastic
- Client focused approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in scheduling labour for works
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook to intermediate level)
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of designing and implementation of an inbound ‘permission marketing’ web based strategy
- Experience/Knowledge of the door & window industry
