Job Description

Probe Oil Tools are currently looking to hire a Sales and Quality Coordinator on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the Sales and Quality Coordinator is to support Probe's fabrication business in a sales and quality function. Understand client's requirements at RFQ stage, quote projects giving a clear description of what each quote does and doesn't include.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responding to RFQ's
- Liaise with new and current clients to support building the business.
- Purchasing goods required for projects.
- Raising of works orders.
- Support with quality document packs.
- Stay up to date with current standards when they change.
- Liaise with site supervisor to best understand what deliveries are obtainable with current workloads.
- Increasing the breadth and depth of relationships in the account and using these to generate new business in otherwise un-penetrated departments/divisions or other group companies.
- Meet face to face with the customer on a regular basis to maintain and foster the relationship, ensure any customer satisfaction issues are picked up and dealt with, in both a timely fashion and to the customer's satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain Account Plans for key customers.
- Actively drive the sales opportunity pipeline.
- Follow up on new sales leads and referrals in the customer.
- Manage the bid/tender process for chosen clients and close new profitable business from within the chosen customer(s).
- Report monthly back to Probe management on the forecast for current and new business.
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close and deliver sales and provide the accounts department with relevant invoicing details, contacts, and necessary assistance to collect outstanding invoices.
- Ensure a full handover to Operations on contract award providing all required information and background is given.
- Ensure that customers are happy and receive a first-rate service to ensure Probe is the "supplier of choice" for all products and services.
- Liaise with VP Sales & Commercial other members of the sales team to identify and respond to sales opportunities and ensure sales cover is provided consistently and not duplicated by others in the sales team.
- Liaison with other members of the ACTEON group to identify and respond to sales opportunities and ensure opportunities are not duplicated by others.
- Collate information as necessary, from the marketplace in the appointed area, to provide market research, competitor analysis and develop market trends and strategy, etc.
- Ensure the customer database (CRM) is accurate and up to date as necessary to provide visibility of market opportunities; Assist accounts by ensuring the invoice submission routing and contact points are supplied for all clients and provide support in chasing invoices through approval stages as required.
Required
- Experience in sales, business development, and relevant technical or engineering knowledge.
- Degree in a business, technical or engineering subject.
- Has significant knowledge and experience of Fabrication products, projects, and services within the upstream oilfield sector preferably within a business that is focused on drilling, decommissioning, mooring, well services or subsea services.
- Sufficient technical knowledge with an understanding of the mechanical engineering industry and the oil and gas industry / segments.
- Has a network of contacts within the upstream client base.
- Front line sales background dealing with most forms of bidding and commercial agreements.
- Appreciation of contractual and commercial risk and development of mitigation strategies. Strategic planning and business growth experience.
- Can translate customer requirements into competitively differentiated pursuit plans and winning bids.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office packages for use in everyday sales and business activities, i.e., PowerPoint presentation preparation for customer meetings, Excel for forecasting purposes, email for everyday communication, MS Word for proposal document responses.
- Ability to create, compose and edit written material.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Experienced Technical Sales and understands management of people and processes.
- Self-motivated, driven, and persistent individual, committed to achieving ten team goals and continuous improvement.
