**Support Worker in CB4**
**£13 per hour** About the service user Support for a 6 year old boy, who is Autistic, non verbal with sensory seeking behaviour he also has PICA disorder.C enjoys being active particularly running, climbing and playing chase with his younger sister, he enjoys playing with water, bubbles and sensory lighting. C likes his own space too. Hours and rate of Pay Up to 137 hours available to be used at weekends and school holidays paid at £13 per hour.Enhanced DBS clearance is essential. What you would be doing Initially you will be supporting C in the home environment engaging in sensory play & activities, supporting C to broaden his interests. The aim is for you to access community activities once C and his family have got to know you. The person I would like Experience of supporting others in the community with a learning disability is important as is a knowledge of Autism & PICA disorder and the challenging behaviours this can bring.You will be a good communicator who has the ability to use simple language to aid communication with C. You will need to be patient, with calm and reassuring nature. Someone who is willing to be interactive and encouraging in order to improve and develop skills.Someone who is able to commit to the role in order to build trust and understanding.If you can drive and have access to your own vehicle that would be great so you can go out to activities together when the time is right, mileage will be paid.
