Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
Start Date: Easter 2024
Salary: £80 - £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time

Cover Supervisor to work at a Client Secondary School in
Selby , North Yorkshire . The successful candidate will provide cover for absent teachers, delivering pre-planned lessons and managing student behaviour, across the curriculum.

Cover Supervisor Responsibilities: - Supervise classes in the absence of regular teachers, following pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring students remain on task and engaged in their learning.
- Provide support to students as they work through assigned tasks or activities, offering assistance and guidance as needed.
- Supervise students during assessments, ensuring compliance with examination regulations and maintaining exam integrity.
- Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.
Cover Supervisor Requirements: - Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
- Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one .
