The Role

An opportunity to work as an Infrastructure Engineer with proven experience of day-to-day management of an enterprise system centre infrastructure. The primary focus of this role is on modern desktop management and administration using SCCM, in a Microsoft environment.

This role requires a strong technical background and a depth of knowledge to take a lead role in designing, implementing, and maintaining key IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Youll wear multiple hats including Cyber Security, Networking, IT Hardware Deployments, and mentorship of junior members in the team. However, the principal focus of the role will be to modern desktop management and administration using, amongst other tools, SCCM in a Microsoft environment.

• Supporting the day-to-day management of our existing IT systems.

• Escalation point for other teams within IT or the wider business.

• Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in security and patching strategies.

• Maintaining and upgrading existing IT Infrastructure.

Person Specification:

• 3+ years experience working as an IT Infrastructure Engineer including 2 years working with SCCM.
• Detailed knowledge of SCCM on an enterprise network, including:
• Application packaging and distribution
• Image creation using MDT and deployment
• Monthly windows patching
• 3rd party apps patching (using Ivanti/Syxsense)
• Adaptiva

Desirable experience includes:

• PowerShell
• Windows Server 2016 / 2019.
• Windows 10
• Office 365
• Microsoft Active Directory Services and associated technologies - GPOs/DNS/DHCP
• Office 365/Azure AD
• Intune experience
• Virtualisation Technologies including Hyper-V
• Endpoint Protection using Defender ATP
• Microsoft licencing
• A willingness to embrace a range of technologies and infrastructure solutions.
