Job description
On behalf of our client we are looking for experienced butchers to join their team. Based off Hessle Road (HU3) area.
Duties:
– Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications
– Ensure the quality and freshness of all meat products and implement stock rotation at all times.
– Assist customers with their meat selection and provide recommendations on cooking times, allergen information and meal suggestions.
– Receive and inspect meat deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality
– Operate and maintain butcher equipment and knive
– To maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site
– To wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times within the production area
Experience:
– Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role preferred
– Knowledge of different cuts of meat and meat preparation techniques
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
– Excellent knife skills and ability to operate machinery safely
