Position: Senior Occupational Hygienist
Location: UK, Homebased
Type: Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications & experience)

Role Overview
As a key member of our team, you will join a division of our organisation specialising in occupational hygiene services aimed at preventing workplace-related health issues. We are expanding our multidisciplinary team and seek a Senior Occupational Hygienist to provide expert guidance on workplace health risk management, conduct hygiene surveys and assessments, and contribute to the development of integrated occupational health services.
Responsibilities
• Collaborating with occupational health colleagues to integrate occupational hygiene aspects into client health risk profiles.
• Providing support to address preventative aspects of workplace health risk management and offering advice on workplace exposures.
• Assuming responsibilities in the absence of the Occupational Hygiene Director, including technical and commercial development, liaison with occupational health colleagues, and leadership of the occupational hygiene team.
• Conducting occupational hygiene investigations, assessments, and surveys covering a range of chemical, physical, and biological agents.
• Assisting in the preparation and delivery of training materials on occupational hygiene topics and mentoring junior team members.
• Managing and coordinating occupational hygiene programs such as Noise, COSHH, and Vibration.
• Ensuring the consistent application of governance and procedures across client sites and participating in audits as needed.
Skills Required
• Proficiency in Occupational Hygiene Assessments
• Strong communication skills with various stakeholders
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Experience in the construction industry preferred
• Experience in delivering BOHS qualifications and developing occupational hygiene programs and strategy advantageous
• Preferably Chartered Member of Faculty of Occupational Hygiene or working towards it
• Proven full-time experience in the occupational hygiene field
• Good technical and IT skills for specialised equipment use
• Operational decision-making and negotiating skills with attention to detail
Education & Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences or Chemistry
• Diploma in relevant field
• Certifications in British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) qualifications and membership in the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene advantageous.
