Arbuthnot Commercial Asset Based Lending is a specialist asset based lender, focused on delivering facilities to small and medium-sized enterprises and lower mid-market corporates. We provide full asset based lending facilities plus cash flow loans in support of acquisition, refinancing, cash-out and turnaround scenarios. We are part of the Arbuthnot Latham Banking group.

This is a one year Industrial Placement based in Gatwick, starting on 2nd September 2024. To be eligible for this programme you must be currently studying at University and undertaking a one year industrial placement as part of your course.

The Asset Based Lending (ABL) Client Manager Administrator is a development role and will primarily focus on providing proactive support to the Arbuthnot Commercial ABL Portfolio Team.

You will assist in the management of all clients within the assigned portfolio in accordance with corporate objectives, approved policy & appetite statements and best practice, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and records, as well as detecting errors and fraud.

You will also support the delivery of effective client risk management strategies and providing high quality service to Arbuthnot Commercial Asset Based Lending clients.

The role will be based within the Portfolio team of Client Manager Assistants.

• Support the daily operational function of maintaining client facilities, including updating schedules, receipts and queries, Client reconciliations and General portfolio administrative tasks
• Review and process client updates of collateral within acceptable timescales.
• Reconcile Client Collateral and resolve discrepancies, working with the appropriate Client Manager or Client Manager Assistant
• Review client supporting documentation and provide feedback Client Manager or Client Manager Assistant
• Ensure client submissions, data and practices adhere to Finance Agreements.
• Offer appropriate support to clients and other departments
• Develop & maintain strong relationship with clients
• Understand risk drivers and monitor triggers ensuring that risk is managed within Arbuthnot Commercial ABL Credit Policy and Procedures.

• Currently studying at University and undertaking a one year industrial placement as part of your course

• Strong organisational skills, and good analytical thinking.
