Job description
We’re looking for a Design Engineer to join the Precision Engineering Team, working Monday-Friday.
You will be working with the relevant design team to produce and manage 3D models and drawings of machinery, tooling and auxiliaries needed by the group companies.
You will be part of the drawing team which manages all the drawing creation for the COBA Plastics division, creating drawings using AutoCAD, LT, Suite Create, ISI Files – Laser sample and gauge files, creating solidwork 3D models for parts and assemblies and subsequent drawing packages.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant engineering qualifications such as a modern apprenticeship and/or experience and have a proficient use of AutoCAD to produce engineering drawings. The successful candidate will possess the ability to organise and plan multiple tasks simultaneously, think clearly and logically under pressure and be a respected team member.
A technical appreciation of engineering and manufacturing processes, equipment and materials would be beneficial but not essential.
08:00 – 17:00 (Monday to Thursday), 08:00 – 13:00 (Friday). 39 hours per week (30 minute lunch).
