SEN Teacher – Primary School
A school based in Dudley are looking for an experienced SEN teacher within a primary school, hours will be 8.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
You will have the opportunity to work in an enthusiastic and encouraging year which challenges children to be as independent as possible in their learning and their communication. The successful candidate will have a passion for the teaching some of the most vulnerable children in society.
The school itself accommodates for children and young people with PMLD, Autism, SEMH, Autism, Attachment Disorder and Challenging Behaviour.
Responsibilities - The role includes general classroom practice, ensuring children are reaching their full potential and raising attainment.
- You will be required to plan and assess pupil progress and maintain a safe learning environment.
- The year group has not been decided, however school are willing to be flexible for the right candidate.
- The ideal candidate will have experience teaching across teaching KS1 or KS2 Primary phases and will be able to commit to a long term/ permanent position.
Qualification and Experience Requirements: - Be a qualified teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS)
- Should have experience working with SEN and or within Challenging environments
- Knowledge and understanding of working with Autism, SEMH and Attachment disorder
- Previous experience planning according to individual needs
