Job description
Following a period of expansion, we have an exciting new opportunity for an individual with pricing experience.This qualified pricing actuary/actuarial manager role sits within the Savings and Retirement pricing function and will have responsibilities for the pricing of both equity release and fixed term annuity product lines.
About you
- A strong communicator, with the ability to build robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of life insurance pricing.Experience of equity release or annuity pricing highly desirable.
- A willingness to get stuck in (this is a hands-on role), with an appetite to use and expand your commercial acumen and market awareness to improve customer and member outcomes.
- You will have a desire to deliver a culture of continuous improvement.
- Curious.
- Highly organised and delivery focused.
- Experience of Prophet modelling software desirable.

Details
- This is a hands-on pricing role, with some scope to flex the nature of the role to the individual.
- The role represents a co-leading position within the pricing team, focusing on our equity release and fixed term annuity product lines.Approximately 80% of your time is expected to be focused on the pricing of externally funded equity release business with the remaining 20% developing fixed term annuity pricing.
- The role includes responsibility for the active relationship management of external funding partners.
- The role will help innovate, develop and support commercial and customer outcomes across both product lines as well as developing a deep understanding of the markets in which we operate.
- The role will have responsibilities for the monitoring of financial markets, customer outcomes and associated trading performance (including lead indicators), presenting these at internal and external forums/committees as required.
- You will drive continuous improvements in our processes and pricing capabilities and be a strong problem solver.
- The role will support initiatives across the wider trading business and will be involved in assessing the commercial benefits of any such initiatives.
- Exposure and involvement with internal reporting, forecasting, conversion analysis, experience analysis, cost base analysis and various ad-hoc investigations as required to support decision making.
