Job Description
- Lead, develop and manage the finance team
- Develop, implement and maintain financial processes and procedures
- Prepare financial reports and statements
- Responsible for budget setting, year end statements and in year cost monitoring
- Working alongside the financial and management accounts team to ensure all information is available for the monthly management accounting including journals, control reconciliations and annual budgeting.
- Lead on projects to ensure continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership
- Monitor and manage organisational cash flow
- Participate in cross-departmental projects
The Successful Applicant
The successful individual should have:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Ideally have previous experience in a similar role within the Not for Profit sector
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively to meet deadlines.
- Capable of building and maintaining effective relationships
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
